Terms & Conditions (Terms of Service)

1. Scope
These Terms of Service apply to the CatchCat mobile application ("App"), optional companion websites (including https://catchcat.lol), and related services operated by Sebastian Seidel ("Provider").
2. Eligibility & registration
2.1 By signing in (e.g. Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email-based login where offered) and using the App, you agree to these Terms.
2.2 Use is limited to natural persons aged 16 or older.
2.3 Only one account per person unless we expressly allow otherwise.
3. Description of services
CatchCat lets you:
• Capture or upload photos of cats and manage a personal collection
• Receive automated breed-style insights and collectibles (including stylised figurines) derived from your content, subject to model accuracy limits
• Connect with friends, view profiles or showcases where enabled, and use social features we may offer (e.g. battles or leaderboards)
• Receive optional push notifications related to account activity or features you enable
Features may vary by platform or version. Outputs are informational and not veterinary or professional advice.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree that you:
• Own or have permission to upload photos you submit
• Will not upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content
• Will not probe, disrupt, or circumvent security or rate limits
• Will not scrape, data-mine, or misuse APIs outside intended App use
5. Prohibited conduct
Including but not limited to:
• Harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or illegal activity
• Reverse engineering beyond what law permits
• Commercial resale of access without permission
6. Intellectual property
The App, branding, and software are protected. You retain rights to content you upload; you grant us a licence to host, process, and display it as needed to run the service (see Privacy Policy).
7. Third-party services & stores
The App may integrate Convex, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and optional purchases processed by Apple/Google. Their terms also apply.
8. Paid features
If offered, prices are shown before purchase. Subscriptions or consumables follow store rules; refunds follow Apple/Google policies unless mandatory law says otherwise.
9. Privacy
Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy (GDPR-aware).
10. Warranty disclaimer
The App is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or perfect identification results.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or losses from reliance on automated outputs. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated within the App or on https://catchcat.lol where reasonable. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance.
13. Termination
You may delete your account in the App or via our deletion flow on https://catchcat.lol. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
14. Governing law & venue
German law applies, excluding the UN CISG where permissible. Venue is the Provider's seat if legally permissible.
